What do you love most about working at Squamish CAN?

I like the variety of community minded, far-reaching projects that are always on the go and learning from my co-workers who are very skilled in what they do.

What impact do you hope to make through your work?

I hope that students I work with become exciting about the natural world by being out in the garden, observing things growing, being around the bugs, expanding their taste profile through trying various herbs and vegetables and having the skills to grow they’re own - whether it be a food garden or pollinator garden for themselves or others.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or day off?

Digging holes and planting plants and walking in the woods in the sunshine.

If you were a climate superhero, what would your superpower be?

I’d be the seed spreader - dropping place appropriate seeds wherever I go!

What’s a moment in your work that made you feel especially proud?

To see students really engage with being out in the garden and loving getting their hands dirty.
